Ashwin Vasavada is the project scientist for Mars Rover Curiosity of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab. He holds a Ph.D from Caltech and a B.S. from UCLA. Ashwin resides in LA, enjoys exploring California’s mountains, and chairs the board of a non-profit that runs three science-focused, public schools in south Los Angeles.
