DAVID KIM is an American politician, community activist and immigration lawyer. He is a candidate for the U.S. Representative serving California’s 34th congressional district which covers Downtown Los Angeles, Boyle Heights, Koreatown and Chinatown. Kim was an elected member of the MacArthur Park Neighborhood Council.
He is running on a community-first platform that encompasses Universal Basic Income, Housing for All, Universal Healthcare and comprehensive immigration reform. Among his signature policies are rejecting corporate influences in politics and Mobility for All. In August, Kim’s campaign released an anti-poverty platform called “A Floor to Stand On.
If elected, Kim will be the first Asian American to represent California’s 34th district.
Kim will face off the incumbent Democratic Congressman Jimmy Gomez in the general election on November 3, 2020.
