Designer and community leader Steve Yamaguma talks about the upcoming Silicon Valley Asian Pacific FilmFest and his role as co-chair. Steve Yamaguma serves as the co-chair of the Silicon Valley Asian Pacific Film Festival. He is the president of Design2Market, a branding and marketing design firm for a wide variety of corporations including Intel, OKI Semiconductor, Flextronics, Sun Microsystems, NEC, Polycom, City of San Jose, San Jose / Evergreen Community College District, West Valley Mission Community College District, City College of San Francisco, San Francisco Port Authority, Prospect Silicon Valley, Zonare, Resonant, Eklin Medical, Ziosoft, and Nuvelo. Steve has been a leading proponent of sustainable communities and has been a founding member of serveral nonprofits including the Japanese American Chamber of Silicon Valley and Contemporary Asian Theater Scene. Steve has also been a board member of the Silicon Valley Charity Ball Foundation, Arts Council of Silicon Valley, Euphrat Museum of Art, and San Jose Taiko.
