Quincy Carroll is an author from Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from Yale in 2007, he moved to China, where he taught English and worked as a copywriter at a local startup. Upon returning to the States, he enrolled in the Creative Writing MFA program at Emerson College. He currently lives and works in Oakland, California. His debut novel, “Up to the Mountains and Down to the Countryside”, was originally published in 2015 by Inkshares, a crowdfunded platform. A second edition was released in 2017 by Camphor Press, with a Chinese translation in the works. Carroll is currently writing his second novel, a story about a returned expatriate stuck between two worlds, tentatively titled “Middle Kingdom”.
